Ultrasonic cleaning of sensors

In PAT (Process Analyzer Technology), inline sensors (such as pH, DO, NIR, UV-VIS, RI, etc.) are the best way to perform continuous real-time measurements in the process industry, including pharma and biotech.

The biggest challenge here is keeping sensors clean. Elscolab has several cleaning methods. That is now joined by usePAT with ultrasonic technology. This ensures that the sensor is permanently in optimal condition so that you get the most accurate results.

UsePAT has three product groups:
- Sonicclean: generates an ultrasonic sound field that breaks down contamination without damaging the sensor.
- Sonicswipe: special ultrasonic protocols are used to keep the sensor clean. Specifically contamination from (bio)film.
- Soniccatch: ‘groundbreaking’ technology that traps particles in a liquid stream making particle analysis trouble-free and interference-free.
