Shorter time-to-market of modular pharma and biotech plants through Module type package

MTP stands for “Module Type Package”: this refers to a manufacturer-independent standard for the quick and easy configuration and implementation of manufacturing plants consisting of different modules. MTPs define the properties and interfaces of factory modules (Process Equipment Assembly, PEAs) at the functional level. This makes technology and manufacturer irrelevant, ensuring compatibility. The aim is to make plant modules easier to replace and even faster to start-up and run. An MTP contains all the information needed to integrate a module into a modular installation, such as the description of control screens and data objects.
