Excom is a high-availability modular I/O system that can be seamlessly integrated into control systems from Rockwell, Emerson, Honeywell, Siemens, ABB, Yokogawa or Supcon. The GEN-3G Ethernet gateway provides an interface for parallel data access. This allows you to transfer process information and meta-data from the field to IT systems. There, intelligent Condition Monitoring algorithms convert this data into knowledge that helps you and your plant.
Data access protected against unauthorised manipulation
The excom Ethernet gateway is approved for installation in Ex zone 2 or in safe areas. It not only transmits user data to the controller via multiprotocol Ethernet (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP), in addition to this user data, analysis data can be extracted from the gateway by specified network participants and forwarded to external IT systems.
These run in parallel over the same network. The IT system for data analysis has read-only rights. This prevents unauthorised manipulation of the process or control system. The data analysis systems can be realised on-site without external network connection or in Cloud systems.
