The capacitive level switch JUMO ZELOS C01 LS works with liquids and solids and can be used in pressurized tanks. It is particularly useful in applications with requirements for overfill protection or dry running, as well as for the detection of fluids.
It can be used at temperatures between -40 and +200 °C. Thanks to the self-calibration function, the level measurement is reliably and stably detected. After configuration, the two switching outputs automatically and safely distinguish the measuring medium from the cleaning medium or foam. Even biofilms or other films do not cause any reliability problems. The design contributes to the miniaturization of the sensors for compact systems. Mounting is easy with a standard torque wrench. Since sealing is via the sensor tip, no separate seal is required.
Short-circuit and reverse polarity protection provide additional safety. An ambivalent circuit detects line faults, such as a cable break. The sensor can be updated when installed using a firmware update profile, reducing system downtime. Available output signals include PNP, NPN, push-pull and IO-Link. A 360° illuminated display makes it easy to detect the sensor status in accordance with NAMUR and VDI/VDE standards.
The level switch has IP67/IP69 protection, all wetted parts are made of PEEK with a homogeneous surface roughness
