Description

For heat source detection the PYROsmart measures the surface temperature of the material.
Forcing is a process in which carbohydrates are burned to carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) under release of heat. This can be caused by enzymatic or microbiological conversions (microorganisms generate a heat that can rise to 60-70 degrees) and eventually by chemical reactions. Carbon is converted into carbon dioxide and as a result the temperature can quickly rise above 100ᵒC and all moisture will evaporate. When there is no more moisture in the mass, the temperature will rise even further until the point is reached where the product spontaneously catches fire. (Warming up) time and temperature are important factors that are detected by the PYROsmart.
