Handy gas monitor for personal safety, gas measurement and leak detection. The Sewerin EX-TEC PM 580 makes the work of gas technicians easier and safer. The instrument can be used for locating leaks in accessible gas pipes (ppm), monitoring the explosion safety of a room (%LEL), gas measurement up to 100 Vol.% and detection of oxygen deficiency or excess and various toxic gases.
A unique feature of the PM580 is the continuous monitoring of explosion safety, even if you use the device for leak detection or gas-free declaration. For measuring both methane and propane, 2 types of sensors are used. An IR sensor measures these gases in Vol.% (gas measurement) and in %LEL (personal safety). A semiconductor sensor is used for leak detection (ppm). However, if the instrument is used for leak detection, the IR sensor is active in addition to the semiconductor sensor. If a concentration of 10% LEL or more is measured during the leak detection process, the user is immediately warned. This means that you do not need a separate monitor for personal safety during leak detection.
The PM 580 is equipped with a large display with high contrast and background lighting, which is easy to read under all conditions. The device is very easy to operate with an on/off button and 4 control buttons in combination with user-friendly menus. The ergonomic design and rubber coating on the device make the instrument particularly comfortable to hold.
This gas monitor is equipped with a powerful sampling pump. If a limit value is exceeded, the user is alerted with light signals and an acoustic signal. Of course, the PM 580 is ATEX certified and dust and waterproof (IP65), which means that the device can be used under almost all conditions.
