The tightness in the labor market is increasing. Never before have so many employers been looking for staff. Never before have so many vacancies been left unfilled. The ideal candidates are difficult or impossible to find today. They are already working.
That is why VDAB asks employers to move away from diploma- and experience-oriented thinking, and to also give less obvious candidates a chance.
This can be done by shifting the focus to the qualities (read: soft skills, personal skills) and the potential of candidates. With the right training and support, employers can still create their ideal employee. Look for the candidates with the potential to learn through training or on-the-job learning. This is how you also bring out the white raven in them.
